ANIMATED BANNER MAKER

Animated banner maker: no timeline, no agency

An animated banner gets noticed because something moves while the rest of the page stands still. It used to take Flash, then animation software and a lot of patience per size. myfeedr works differently: the design comes from your website, the animation is an effect you pick once, and every display size moves on its own after that. You end up with HTML5 ads for ad servers and networks and animated GIFs for everything else.

Why animated banners earn more clicks

The eye reacts to motion before it reads. A banner that builds up in the first second is noticed more often than a still of the same design, and people who notice are more likely to click. In comparisons the click-through rate of animated display banners usually sits clearly above the static versions, as long as the animation stays short and ends on a complete end frame.

The motion has to serve the message: logo first, then product, then price and badge, the button last. Moving everything at once creates noise instead of attention. That is why myfeedr’s effects are fixed sequences with an order, not a free timeline.

HTML5 or GIF: which file you need

Animated banners come in two file types. The HTML5 ad is a small web page with a CSS animation: crisp text, smooth motion, small file. Google Ads, ad servers such as Campaign Manager or Adform and affiliate networks accept it, each with its own click wiring. The animated GIF is an image file made of frames: it runs everywhere, including newsletters and websites without an ad server, but is larger for the same length and shows text less sharply.

The rule of thumb: HTML5 for booked display campaigns, GIF for newsletters, your own website, marketplaces and platforms that do not accept HTML5. myfeedr builds both from the same animation, so you do not have to decide up front.

  • HTML5 ad: one file per size, 150 KB under the IAB standard, click wired per platform, text stays sharp on retina screens.
  • Animated GIF: one image file per size, 150 KB target, runs without an ad server, repeats stored in the file’s loop counter.
  • Both with the same effect, speed and number of loops, and an end frame with logo, headline and button.

The effects: Reveal, Product focus, Two scenes, Price highlight

Each effect is a fixed sequence of six to nine seconds that runs at three speeds and repeats up to three times. Reveal builds up logo, image, headline and button one after another and is the safe default. Product focus zooms gently into the product image and then sets the text. Two scenes alternates between brand message and offer. Price highlight keeps everything calm and lets badge and price jump in before the button arrives.

The studio preview plays the chosen effect live in every display size, with a replay button per banner. Social, newsletter and Google responsive sizes stay static, in the preview and in the export. What runs there is exactly the file exported later: the same keyframes, the same duration.

What stays the same across sizes

An animated banner has to work in 300×250 just as well as in 728×90 or 160×600. myfeedr gives each size its own layout, keeps text inside the safe zone and adjusts font sizes automatically so nothing overflows. The animation runs on the same elements regardless of where they sit in the size.

Platform limits are built in: 15 seconds under the IAB standard, 30 seconds in Google Ads, at most three loops, then the end frame stays. Where a platform allows less, the export caps the loops and states the actual value in the README.

How to make animated banners with myfeedr

Enter your address. myfeedr reads logo, colours, fonts, copy and product images from your website and builds the static set in every size of the package. In the studio you pick the effect and speed under Animation, and the preview starts moving right away. Copy, price, badge and product image can be adjusted per banner directly in the tile.

For the export you choose the target: Google Ads, an ad server or an affiliate network for the HTML5 set, or GIF for everything else. Both arrive as a ZIP with one file per size and upload instructions. If a price changes later, you simply export again.

Animation is an add-on to the static set with a fixed surcharge per package, shown at checkout. Analysis and the animated preview are free.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need animation software?
No. The effects are fixed sequences you select in the studio. There is no timeline and no keyframes to set; myfeedr handles the motion for every display size.
Can you animate my existing banners?
myfeedr rebuilds the banners from your website so all sizes match. Existing artwork cannot be imported; the logo, colours, product images and copy of your site are the basis.
How long can an animated banner run?
15 seconds under the IAB standard, 30 seconds in Google Ads, with at most three loops each. myfeedr enforces the limits per target platform automatically.
Which file do I get?
One HTML5 ad per size as a ZIP for ad servers and networks, and one animated GIF per size for newsletters and websites. Both from the same animation.
Does the animation run on phones?
Yes. HTML5 ads are pure CSS and run in every mobile browser, GIFs do anyway. Mobile sizes such as 320×50 and 320×100 are part of the set.
