DISPLAY AD MAKER

Display ad maker: the whole size set, built from your website

Display advertising is never one banner. It is a leaderboard, a medium rectangle, a half page, two skyscrapers and a handful of mobile strips, all carrying the same offer at wildly different proportions. myfeedr reads your website once and produces the complete set — 21 display and Google Ads sizes as PNG and JPG, weight-checked and ready to upload. Free to preview, no account.

What a display ad maker actually has to deliver

The job is not designing a banner. The job is designing one message that survives at fourteen different aspect ratios, from a 970×250 billboard down to a 320×50 strip that is barely taller than the text on it. A layout that reads beautifully in a medium rectangle collapses in a skyscraper, and a headline that fits a leaderboard has to lose half its words on mobile.

On top of that sit the technical rules the ad networks enforce. Google Ads rejects uploaded display creatives above 150 KB. Publisher ad servers and affiliate networks expect exact pixel dimensions, not approximations. Files have to be static images — PNG or JPG — because HTML5 creatives need certification most small advertisers never obtain.

A display ad maker that only hands you a canvas and some templates leaves all of that to you. The useful version does the repetition and the compliance, and leaves you the decisions that actually matter: which product, which offer, which words.

Uploaded display ads and responsive display ads are different jobs

Google Ads accepts two kinds of creative, and confusing them costs a lot of wasted work. Uploaded display ads are fixed-size images: you supply a 300×250, Google shows a 300×250. You control the layout completely, including the headline, the price and the button. These are also the files every non-Google network wants — Microsoft Advertising, Adform, Google Ad Manager, affiliate networks like Awin or Tradedoubler.

Responsive display ads work the opposite way. You upload landscape, square and portrait images plus a logo, and Google composes the ad itself, adding its own headline and description text. Baking a headline into those images is a mistake: Google overlays its own copy on top, and the result is two competing sentences in one box.

myfeedr produces the first kind. Every size, the Google Ads dimensions included, is built as a complete layout with headline, price and call to action — ready to upload as a fixed-size image ad, which is also what every non-Google network wants. The export has a dedicated Google Ads package containing exactly the display and Google dimensions, with a README, so the upload screen is not a guessing game.

For responsive display ads and Performance Max the same files are the wrong input: Google would place its own headline on top of the one already in the picture. Those campaigns need text-free imagery, which is a different job from the one myfeedr does — supply your own photography there and keep this set for the fixed-size placements.

Templates make one ad. A set is a different problem.

Most display ad makers are template editors with a resize button. You pick a design, adapt it, then press resize and the tool stretches the same arrangement into the other formats. It works when the shapes are close and falls apart when they are not, because the elements simply scale: type shrinks until it is unreadable in the small strips and floats in a sea of space in the billboard.

myfeedr does not resize a design. It composes each format from scratch against the box it has to live in. The layout is chosen per aspect ratio — wide formats get a horizontal split, tall ones stack, small strips drop everything except the essentials. Type size is computed from the actual box and your actual text, not scaled from a master. Contrast is checked against the background that ended up behind the text. The logo gets a light chip when it would otherwise disappear.

The practical consequence: change one headline and all 21 formats rebuild consistently. There is no master file that the other sizes drift away from, because there was never a master file.

How the set gets made

Three steps, roughly five minutes, and you see everything before any payment is involved.

  • Analysis — enter your website address. The page is fetched and rendered, then logo, brand colours, font families, headline, products, prices and a hero image are extracted from what is actually on it. Free, no registration.
  • Review and adjust — the result page shows what was found. Anything wrong you correct in the browser: a different colour or font, your own headline and button text, another product, an uploaded logo or image with crop and zoom. Three layout variants per format.
  • Export — unlocking removes the watermark and builds the ZIP: PNG and JPG for every format, sorted into folders by channel, plus the separate Google Ads package.

The display sizes you get

One analysis produces all of these. Each size links to a page explaining where it runs and how much text it holds. Social and newsletter formats are available too, in the larger packages.

File weight, file types and what lands in the ZIP

Every format is rendered twice: a PNG for maximum sharpness, and a JPG compressed to stay comfortably inside the 150 KB ceiling that Google Ads and most publisher ad servers enforce. For display upload the JPG is normally the file you want — the PNGs are there for cases where you need a lossless original, for instance before handing artwork to a partner who will edit it.

Small formats — those with no edge above 800 pixels — additionally get a 2× retina JPG in the JPG package. Those are meant for embedding on your own website or in a newsletter, where a phone screen will show them at double density. Ad networks do not want them and never receive them: the Google Ads package deliberately contains only the 1× files.

Inside the ZIP the files are sorted into folders by channel, so display, Google, social and newsletter creatives do not arrive in one heap of 76 files with cryptic names. Filenames carry the format key and the pixel dimensions.

If you bring your own artwork alongside the generated set and it exceeds the limit, it has to be compressed before upload — the image compressor at imagenimble does that in the browser, without the file leaving your machine.

Price, editing and what happens after the download

The analysis and the watermarked previews cost nothing and need no account. Unlocking is a single payment from 79 € — no subscription, no seats, no monthly credit allowance that expires. The smallest package covers the most-used display sizes, the next the complete IAB and Google Ads set, the larger ones add social and newsletter formats:

After unlocking, the project stays editable indefinitely and at no extra cost. Rewrite the headline, subline and button text, change colours and fonts, swap the product or the hero image, adjust crop and zoom, cycle the layout variants, and re-export as often as you like. When your offer changes, you do not buy a new set — you edit this one.

As a German small business under § 19 UStG no VAT is added, so the listed price is the price you pay. Invoices come from Stripe automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Which display ad sizes does it produce?
The IAB standards — 728×90, 300×250, 336×280, 160×600, 120×600, 300×600, 320×50, 320×100, 468×60, 970×90, 970×250, 250×250, 200×200 — plus the DACH formats 980×120 and 800×250 and the Google Ads image assets at 1200×628, 1200×1200, 960×1200, 1200×300, 600×314 and 300×300.
Are the files small enough for Google Ads?
Yes. Google Ads rejects uploaded display creatives over 150 KB. Every JPG is compressed to stay inside that limit, and the Google Ads export package contains only files that comply. The PNG versions can exceed it and are meant for archiving and editing, not for upload.
Does it make animated HTML5 banners?
No. myfeedr produces static PNG and JPG images only. HTML5 display creatives require network certification that most small advertisers do not have, and static images are accepted everywhere without it.
Do I need design software or a template?
Neither. You enter a website address; there is no template to choose and no canvas to arrange. Everything you might want to change afterwards — text, colours, fonts, product, images, layout variant — is editable in the browser.
What if my site cannot be read automatically?
Some sites sit behind a firewall or build their content entirely in JavaScript. The result page then names which attributes are missing and you supply them yourself: colours, a font, a headline, an uploaded logo or image. The set is produced exactly as it would be otherwise.
